Tollywood Lacks Unity: Thaman at Akhanda 2 Success Meet_我的网站

A | As speculation continues around who will take over the iconic role of James Bond after Daniel Craig’s exit, Shah Rukh Khan has finally reacted to the much-discussed question, could Bollywood’s biggest superstar ever slip into the 007 tuxedo? The actor, who is gearing up for his next film King, shared his thoughts during a conversation with BBC News India while in London for the unveiling of a bronze statue alongside his Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge co-star Kajol. With names like Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Callum Turner leading the race for the role. So, when SRK was asked whether he would consider the role, his answer was equal parts humorous and humble. “No, I don't have the accent,” he laughed, adding, “I don't like shaken martini either.” Reflecting on his relatively late entry into action cinema, he joked that it was Kajol who unknowingly delayed his action phase. “I was always wanting to do an action film, but then Kajol was in my life, and you can't do action films when Kajol is acting opposite you. So I did all the romantic films!” Kajol playfully reminded him that he worked on many films without her, too, but SRK maintained that their iconic pairings defined a generation. "I don't know about James Bond, but Sean Connery for sure, yeah!" he said, expressing his respect for the renowned original 007. Connery, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig are among the actors who have starred in the James Bond series. The franchise is going through a change right now. The next instalment will be directed by Denis Villeneuve. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan continues to dominate Bollywood. He is currently getting ready for King, which will be released in 2026 and co-star his daughter Suhana Khan, after winning a National Award for Jawan. At the Akhanda 2 press conference held in Hyderabad on Sunday, the music director’s comments hogged the limelight more than anything else. He expressed concern over detractors for spreading negativity about Akhanda 2's financial issues. We are not here as a strong unit: Thaman Akhanda 2 was supposed to release on December 5 but arrived a week later. Thaman questioned the timing of the court case (filed by Eros International), which could have been filed earlier too and why it was only done at the time of release. “This indicates how the world (Tollywood) lacks unity, and we are not here as a strong unit. Unity is strength, and we all should inculcate such thinking.” Thaman stated that after the film was postponed, many spoke about Akhanda 2 in the media but none came to the production and spoke to the producers. “That would have given the filmmakers a lot of strength. Everyone says that producers are nice people but no one comes forward to help and sort the issue. A film is a collaborative effort and the need of the hour is to pat each other.” ‘Tollywood is inspiring’ Thaman’s comments have once again turned the spotlight on the film industry. He accentuated the need to ‘help each other’ and grow as a cohesive unit, and not individually. “I work in multiple industries, and technicians talk so proudly about how Tollywood has been inspiring.” Talking about what went into composing music for Akhanda 2, Thaman revealed that around 600 technicians worked only on the music departmentò. “We took around 77 days to work on the background score, and only the interval block took around 11 days. My entire team was there throughout supporting me.”Also Read: Akhanda 2 Review: An Unsubtle War Against Terror and Logic。
